Whitney Houston - One Moment In Time (Grammy Awards Live)

Can I take a moment and be serious? I would like to dedicate this post to Whitney Houston (and before you ask, yes, she is a nigger. Everyone on this damn blog is a Nigger for Niggersake. Get over it!).

I love me some Whitney Houston. She can do no wrong in my eyes. Crackhead and all, my sister has it going on. I had never stopped being a fan. I may hate on a lot of celebrities but Ms. Houston has a hater-free card from me. It makes me sad to hear rumors that she is losing her voice. I hope this is not true, because for me no one can sing like Whitney (with the exception of Aretha Franklin). I read somewhere that she has been in the studio since March of 2007, working on a new Album. If this is true, I can’t wait for her comeback. I am hoping that it blows every other artist out of the water.

The reason for this post is that after speaking about the death of Dr. West and the superficial nature of our society, in my last post, for some reason I was placed in a musical mindset so I went on Youtube and watched some music videos. I started off the TLC, but I ended up on Whitney Houston.

If you have the time, listen to the video post (this is a live performance, folks). I love this song. It is so inspirational (and I don’t inspire easily). Who does not want one moment in time, a time to show the world that one thing about you that makes you special? We all have that one thing in us. Mines is art, what’s your?

Okay, this post is so sappy, I’m making myself sick. Talk about not being “kosher” (that’s right, I said it, MP).

I don't know about you but I want to kill Bobby Brown right about now.

Seriously, I remember when we met Whitney in '93 I think. She was so nice. I wanted to hugged her but wasn't sure about asking. My aunt hugged her. Watching her perform live that night gave me the true effect of how powerful her voice really is.

Or was.

Wow, you got to meet Whitney, Don? How exciting. I am not star struck, but if I got to meet Whitney I think I would literally piss myself. As far as killing Bobby, I think he is doing a good enough job of doint that to himself.

Has Whitney or Bobby came out and said Bobby got Whit on drugs? It was known before they hooked up, Whit was already snorting. She just met her match when Bobby came in the picture. Personally, I'm mad at both of them. Bobby had it going on too back in the day.

I too love me some Whitney Houston. I sure hope the noise about her losing her voice is just that, NOISE.

OMP, what type of art are you into drawing? Multi-faceted heh?

thank for the love on my vid post! That was my ig'nant roomate and his boyfriend arguin in the other room while i was recording. You're right it seemed like they started as soon as i started to sing. They are niggerish like that.
Anyway, Whitney will always have my respect as a vocalist but she HAS really damaged her instrument with years of ill treatment. Hopefully she can kick her bad habits (not just the crack) and regain some of the beauty that I've always admired.

Southern Gal-Ugh! I have never liked Bobby Brown. I am not blaming Bobby for Whitney's drug use. You know me, I put it all on the table and I made sure not to even mention Bobby in my post. Still....Bobby? Ugh!

Marcol-I paint, draw, ect. I wanna learn sculpture.

Omar-Just the thought of Whitney losing her "instrument" makes me sad. Seriously. Such talent lost to the world. Wow!

Omar-Just by the way...while I was on my quest for music, I was also listen to Aretha and I thought I saw a YouTube with you singing, "Till you come back to me". Was that you? I didn't follow up to see.

Big ups for my crackhead, rumored lesbian Jersey sister. I hope she makes a comeback like her cousin Dionne, but that would require her to stay hidden for a few years longer. We need someone to make Beyonce take a nap. What about that nigger?

Oh yeah... I'm taggin' yo ass back!

Rodney-You can't tag me back, nigger! I said no tag backs....You called Whitney a crackhead, lesbian jersey sister. You wrong for that. You do know that I am willing to kick an ass for Whitney. As for Lady B, if I can get some goods on her, I'll light that ass up. Just FYI, folks. I just read where Whitney is on some type of pills. I am really hoping it is not true. Come home, Whitney! I can give good love to you.

Yes, we met her in New Orleans. She was very, very normal. I can't emphasize that. We didn't go backstage or anything like that. She walked out into the audience and talked and shook hands w/ peep. Just lucky to be where she came.

lol @ what you said about Bobby

Hey man, I think that I am her most loyal supporter. I hope Whitney has a slamming come back! I believe that she is going to rise to the top again.

I even say a prayer for her ever so often.
