Oh No I Didn't!

Oh No I Didn’t

I can’t believe it. Please do not let me become one of those people. Please.
Somebody explain to me why I was up at three thirty in the morning grocery shopping? I didn’t plan on it. I actually went out on a booty call and had to drive by Wally-World and thought I’d stop by to see if they had the suitcase like, briefcase I saw at the Office Depot. I was hoping it would be cheaper at Wally-World. However, once I got there I realized that I need to replenish my icebox and figured, “why the hell not.”

All the time I was shopping I was thinking, “Please don’t let me become one of those people who do the late night/early morning shopping thing.” However, the more I roamed around the ever crowded Wally-World, I was like, “This is cool. No people. No Traffic. Maybe I should start doing this more often..” Hell, I work these hours anyway. What’s the problem?

Anyway, while I was shopping I found some stuff to organize my stuff at work. I bought some extend-a-folders, so I can organize all of the papers and memos and shit that I refuse to threw away. I bought a daily planner, so I can start writing down every time shit happens and I have to “speak” with my troops. I then bought a bunch of stuff to clean my floors and bathroom fixtures. You see, every once and a while I get this overwhelming urge to clean and organize. It doesn't happen very often. Once, maybe twice a year. And when it comes it doesn's last long. Cleaning ain't fun!
I almost bought some stuff to redecorate my house altogether, but chickened out. And I bought all the fixings for some nachos, which I had for breakfast.

I bought over a hundred dollars worth of crap and none of it needed to go into the fridge. How sad is that?

-One Man’s Opinion. Peace.

I can't shop at that hour. I need there to be people around so I can go, "oh wow, where'd you get that - that looks good?" And then next thing you know we'll be bff's!

I don't want to hear about your booty call cause then I'll be jealous.

Walmart, I'd say it can be addicting but it's just because of the low prices.

It's way easier to shop when stuff is organized and not picked over and that's normally in the wee hours, so don't resist any longer, especially if you're up around that time anyway.

I used to do that all the time when I lived in NC... the 24 hour walmart was about 5 minutes from the crib so I used to leave the club and head right there.. could get everything I needed and be outta there in like 15 minutes... no one was in line... it was the best thing ever....

I say embrace it... now I have to go early evening and it is the absolute worst all the people that are in pathmark that time of the day.

Did you say booty call? You must have what? Tell it One Man~

I would rather shop during late night (but I don't).

I'd like to know the booty call details too...call me dirty if ya wanna.

Hahaha. Who are those sad people shopping so early? Maybe they were answering a booty call too. Tell us about the booty call bro. Now you've made us curious, satisfy...

Okay, can I just say this post is SO not about the booty call. I just made reference to it so yall would know why I was out so early in the morning.

I am totally going to start shopping in the wee, before the cock crows hours of the day. I love it. I love people, but I hate being around them. The parking is on point and I can make a decision about what I want to buy, since I hate to shop anyway.

Okay, so I am going to try and fix up my house. Any helpful hints?

What do you like? I was always told to add mirrors to make the room look bigger. Adding plants (artificial works) to a room adds flair to it.

I like shopping at Wally World in early wee hours of the mornings too. When I lived in the "A" in the wee hours of saturday mornings after the club closed the electronics dept have its on club goin on up in there! Shoppers jammin in Wal-Mart to the music blasting like we were still at club, just cuttin the fool in Wal-Mart.

U gotta love Wal-Mart it's the best. Where can u go to get food, condoms, home accessories, hardware, clothes and a 8 piece chicken diner already cooked... and more lol.

To me, Target is the best place to go to find things to beautify your home. They have the most beautiful modern and different pieces to enhance your home. Get lots of pillows. Especially with different colors and sizes. And a nice area rug. Feng Shui say elephants in the home bring in money. Ckeck out this site to learn more about Feng Shui and how it can bring balance, peace and happiness into your house....

What'd you say about the booty call?

Another good time is early morning hours, around 9 - 11:30 when most folks are plopping their keisters in their work seats. At that time, it's usually just the Geritol crowd, and it's pretty peaceful. Of course, stay away at the first of the month, when all the food stamp freaks come out at night ... and day.

walmart is a trap. don't get me on the plastic aisle with all the bins and containers. you just start seeing all the stuff that you could 'use'. of all the big box stores, i actually prefer target. their home decoration stuff is way nicer than walmart's. their clothes are too. what we didn't find out is if you made it to the booty call. i was gonna ask if it was worth it but you don't strike me as one_man to get up at 0 dark 30 for some wack booty.

Here in Jersey City...yo azz might get jacked shopping in the wee hours of the morning!! It is so not a good idea.

LOL!

Here in Big D, the same thing can happen. That is why I try to always be aware of my surroundings and plus, I carry my gun. It is a .357. You better ask somebody. Not to mention that I take GOD with me everywhere I go.

Early morning/late night shopping is the best. Food shopping is alright, except if you're looking for produce. They put that stuff up.

Anytime you find yourself thinking you don't want to be "those people," you become one. It's like a curse.

As for me, I much prefer to go when no one is there. I hate people. I like persons, but not people. ;)

cathouse teri said...

Also, I can't shop at Wal-Mart or Target or any of the superstores. Something about them makes me wanna die. On the spot. I think it may be because of the years I spent at those stores with three kids in tow. It was nothing short of nightmarish. Not that they were badly behaved, but it's still not fun keeping track of three small children while shopping.

The fact is, I wasn't meant to be a mother. But it does help that I am one, so that I can call my boyfriend a motherfucker. :) (I also call him a grandmotherfucker, which is even more fun!)

i remember working in food lion (grocery store) and we closed at 11. i used to HATE when the people would come at like 1030 and do their shopping for the fucking month. that shit irritated the hell out of me.

"I bought over a hundred dollars worth of crap and none of it needed to go into the fridge. How sad is that?"--- this is exactly why i don't grocery shop at Wal-Mart. the temptation's too great!

as for home decorating, i agree w/ others who said Target was a good idea. if they have one in Dallas, you might also consider IKEA. i wouldn't buy furniture there (too cheap looking at not necessarily at a cheap price), but they have lots of decorative accessories at a good price.
