Riley-Santa is a Bitch

Okay, here is a clip from The Boondocks. Instead of a normal posting I would like to pose a question to my readers. It is a silly question but a valid one nonetheless. Because of the way our people are depicted and the use of the dreaded N-word (which is Nigger, incase you didn’t know), do you think it is appropriate for white people to watch The Boondocks? Like I said, I know it’s a foolish question, but I thought I’d ask it anyway. This is strictly for comments….I have nothing to say on the matter per se. (Oh, this clip is from last season).

One Man’s Opinion. Peace.

Due to the language, I think that it was responsible of Cartoon Network to air it in the 11:30 time slot. Childresn should be asleep at that time and if they aren't that's theparent's fault.

As far as your question, I think white people should be allowed to watch the show. The show is extremely creative and addresses a number of social issues. I'd like to believe that people of all colors would be adept in grasping and appreciating the social statements contained in the cartoon. There are some folks that will only see the negativity and freuquent foul language, but they approach the cartoon thinking that way.

Yeah, they should be able to watch it just as we should be able to watch all in the family re-runs.

I love all in the family. I personally think that people should watch what they wanna watch, that's why I said it was such a stupid question. However, I know there are some back people out there that believe that the Boondocks is not meant for white folks to watch. Just as sure as I know that there are white people out there that see the Boondocks as an endorement of how they see black folks. I was just trying to see if any of my blogging brothers and sister feel this away.

To answer your question simply, everyone should enjoy this funny as hell cartoon. I believe in blanket equality, what's acceptable for group should be acceptable for all.
