FUCK THE POLICE!

The Reason Why:

So this is the reason why. I was in denial before but now the shit is all up in my face. So this is the reason why every time I turn around someone is hating on the police. Let me explain. I wake up this morning and decided to check out my City Email, since I have been off for the past two days, before I head out to get my ‘do done (get a haircut). Well, I open up the mail and what to my wonder eyes do I see. Another DPD officer arrested, oh me.

It would seem that Senior Corporal, let’s call him, Dumbass. Senior Corporal Dumbass has been arrest and charged with Bribery, a Second Degree Felony according to the Texas Penal Code. According to the press release Corporal Dumbass was demanding and receiving money from a Vietnamese family in exchange for not reporting potential violations of gambling laws. Of course someone snitched his ass out. Our Public Integrity detectives were on that shit like fly on….well, shit. They set up a sting and took his ass down. So, you bastards can say what you want but the system works when used correctly. The problem is that people want to handle the shit themselves instead of going through the proper channels. I can’t speak for any other Department, but where I work we investigate that shit to the highest degree. The problem is, we have so many citizens that put in bogus complaints, just to be vindictive, that it takes away from the time that could be spent going after the legitimate stuff. I have a cure for that as well. If they’d start prosecuting the lying bastards for “Perjury” they’d cut out some of those bogus complaints, but that’s a post for another day.

You know what really gets me about Corporal Dumbass? I know his Dumbass! And that says a lot, because I am not a social being and I don’t know too many police officers. And I especially don’t like associating with the majority of them for reasons I prefer not to get into. But Corporal Dumbass actually road out with me a couple of times while he was completing his training. I never thought he was going to be a stand out, as far as policing goes, but it never dawned on me that his ass would become a crook. Pick a side, damn it! Either up hold the law or break it, you fucking idiot.

Senior Corporal Dumbass is the second officer that I have known personally….strike that, third, that has done something to get their dumbasses fired. First there was Officer Dickhead, who got fired for propositioning a woman on a traffic stop. He wouldn’t give her a ticket if she’d give him head. What the fuck? Do you realize how much pussy is thrown at officers, and I don’t care what the officer looks like, just because of that damn uniform? And you go and lose your job (Official Oppression), because you had a hard on. And keep in mind that Officer Dickhead was married and already had no telling how many harlots on the side. Damn, how much nutt does this man have in this system to release?

Then there was Officer Coconut. His dumbass was fired for taking money from Hispanics, on traffic stops. Really? Is it that serious? Work an extra job, you lazy bastard! Seriously, extra jobs are out there in abundance. I don’t personally work them, but I could if I wanted. They are easy to find and easy to do. Pretty much you are paid a minimum of $35 an hour to put on your uniform and sit on your ass. They are so easy that officers bring books to read, or DVD’s to watch, on thier extra job. Actually, that is one of the reasons why I don’t work them. I don’t like to get paid for doing nothing. I remember I worked this one extra job, a fellow officer was in a bind, at a grocery store. I was bored out of my skull. So bored in fact that I started sacking groceries. The store manager didn’t think it promoted a good image for me to be standing there, in full uniform, sacking groceries so she asked me to stop. I personally didn’t agree. I was in plain sight, I could see everything that was going on around me, I was close to the door, and I thought it made me look like an actually servant to the community. But what do I know. I stopped and went back to roaming aimlessly around the store until my five hours was up. Fat lot of help I was going to be if someone ran out the front with a frozen turkey, while I was lumbering down aisle seven, checking out the feminine hygiene products.

The point is, there is honest money to be had and butt loads of pussy to be diddled, so why do dirt? I’ll tell you why, because power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. It is so damn annoying. I make this big stink about people not hating on the police and then these ignorant, dirty ass, motherfucker go out there and make me look like an idiot. But you know something? I can call them out on their bullshit, because I walk in their shoes every day. They are my family, in blue. I have ties to them, so I can call their ass out. But you, you can’t call out my family! I don’t care if it is hypocritical. That’s just life.

And you know what else gets me? Why the fuck is it that we minority officers feeling the need to victimize our own people? Yes, Senior Corporal Dumbass was Vietnamese. Yes, Officer Coconut was Hispanic. And yes, Officer Dickhead did proposition a sister. C’mon now, if you are gonna victimize someone, victimize someone that doesn’t look like you. I got to hand it to white officers in that regard. When they decide to misuse their authority they go straight for the minorities, but not us minorities. We decide to hurt ourselves. What the fuck is up with that? You got the power, if you’re going to misuse it. Misuse it on someone with pale skin! LOL. That is so wrong, but I’m just saying.

DAMN POLICE!

-One Man’s Opinion. Peace.

Fuck it. I still where that shyt well!

The multi-facets of One Man...you are def intriguing. Anywho, lmao talking about perjury. I'm in law school in metro Detroit so I know all about the perjury aspect of things.

So interesting the boys in blue are. You were right, either uphold the law or break it but pick a side. Makes it easier for the rest of the justice system.

I won't let the bad apples spoil the whole bunch. You still got a few cool points left in my book. (You got docked for pitting your nephew against my son, lol)

LOL. Ieisha,Ieisha, Ieisha. You make me smile. Don't hate the competitive side of the One Man. Only pit my nephew against your son because I find your son to be worthy of the challenge. Trust me, if it wasn't worth the effort, I wouldn't even have put it on the table. Wink
Dreamcop, it is so easy to bonk an officer, you have no idea. Not me of course...I'm a prude. LOL

I applaud your condemnation on your fellow officers, lol. Although we prob have to agree to disagree about not being able to call out other folks in your fam ..lol...spade is a spade.

I try to not let the bad ones mess it up for all, i have had some good situations with the cops...just hard when i see the bad ones more than the good...majority rules.

So i hope that you stay on the up and up . We need some great examples for the boys in blue....

Dont worry......i wait.

That's crazy about your fellow officers. I bet those stories don't make the news though. Why do women digg the uniform? I'm sure plenty of officers became officers just to improve they sex life lol.

And you wrong for saying they should exploit a different race, you know they exploit minorities because White people are too quick to write a letter to your boss lol

You don't like to get paid for during nothing. I need to write this down because you are the 1st person I've heard say that.
Lol

Sad stories, for sure.

I'm wondering about something. You ask why minority officers can't pick on people who don't look like them instead of "your own people." You guys have your own people? Is that what it's like to be in a minority?

I suppose, according to the rules, I'm part of a minority. Women. Women are referred to as minorities, right? So I should get mad when a woman victimizes another woman and tell her, "Why the fuck aren't you going after men? Why our own kind?"

Or maybe redheads. Perhaps I should start a campaign where redheads stop hurting other redheads.

I'm not getting this. Is being part of a minority not an issue that is being perpetuated by choosing to own your "own people?"

I do understand how this happens. So, please don't explain that part to me. I already know that part.

I just don't understand why people can't be just people. Yeah, there are assholes who don't believe that, but shouldn't I start with me in believing it?

$35/hr just for walking down the women's hygiene aisle? Next time you get that offer, let me know, I'll even give you a 10% cut for borrowing your uniform. Don't worry, I'll just pull that belt tighter around my waist so no one will notice the missing donut belly.

"Pick a side, damn it! Either up hold the law or break it." What happened to your police are people too argument? Sr Crpl Dumass probably did pick a side and like most people changed it when the situation changed or opportunities arose.

Oh and as for your West Side Story remix of "Stick to your Kind," could it be that minorities are victimized more because they are the people least likely to report a situation or the least likely to be believed when they do?

Hmm now that I think of it, you'd better not lend me your uniform, I might forget where and who I was and wear it to the nearest leather bar. I'd make a killing there.

One Man’s Opinion said...

Hey, Teri, you know I love you, right? First of all, yes, if I were a female I'd be pissed off as hell when one female did another female wrong.
Actually, sadly being a minority does give you an us against them mentality. At least that is what I think. I treat everyone the same, believe it or not, but I am not so naive as to think that the world is like me. I get that mentality from my mom, the woman doesn't have a hateful bone in her body, but the rest of my family is a different story all together. Now, I hope you know that was tongue in cheek, what I said about turning the tables and minorities victimizing the majorities. However, the reality is that when things go wrong, minorities tend to turn on each other and you rarely see that with the white race. I'm sure it happens though, don't get me wrong, but no one ever makes a big deal out of it.

Curious, why you always trying to charge me up, man? Did I tell you about this? "Pull the belt tighter to hide the missing donut belly". I'll have you know that is pure "bacon" (pun intended).
As for you take on minorities, all be damn if they don't tell. How do you think these officers got caught?

We were having a discussion here in NY about the Sean Bell verdict and the boycott folks are staging. I really don't understand how profound an effect not buying anything for a week will have on the police... unless we steal everything we would have bought.

The question that prompted our discussion was did we think there would be more disrespect for police with this verdict. My answer was respect earns respect. As long as the police carry themselves respectfully, they will get my full respect and cooperation.

Great post...thank you for sharing.

Rodney, my friend. I am sorry to say that I don't know what the boycott would do. Maybe yall could boycott the police by not calling at all. Who knows.

Mister One Man: I agree, it's a naive view to think the whole world will think that way. That's why I said it has to start with me. I can't be making my choices based on the fact that, "Well hell, the rest of the world thinks that way, so I may as well!" I admit. I am much in the minority with many of my views. :)

One Man’s Opinion said...

That is why I like that you come to my blog, Teri. I want it to be diverse. You not only get my One Opinion, but a whole heck of a lot of other intelligent folks talking here.

I agree. It is the benefit of having these things. And if I seem to be going a little overboard in adversity sometimes, it's on purpose. I like people to see lots of sides. Even if they might not be my own.

And I thank you for welcoming me here.

Great post, as usual! I LOVE the way you write! It's so interesting to read about a cop's life, written by a real cop. As for those three bad apples, I'm not really upset. There's bound to be some dumbasses and dickheads in any profession. As long as the bad guys are in the small minority, the good guys are what count. I personally have had only one bad experience with a cop, and I'm over 50 years old. And he was more a smartass than a dumbass. I had gone through a stop sign that I didn't see, in a tiny town in PA. The cop put on his siren and pulled me over. He was very insulting and arrogant as he was writing up my traffic ticket, and when he was done, he made me thank him. I refused at first, but he got nasty and I finally buckled. But that one small incident did not influence my admiration and gratitude for the 99.99% of good cops. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't give thanks for living in a country where you can call the police if something bad is happening to you, and they'll be there ASAP. Try that in Somalia! Or Iraq! Or Haiti! Or a whole lot of other disfunctional countries.

So once again, A GIANT THANK-YOU to you and all the other "men in blue" whose job it is to keep us safe. Keep on truckin'! (That shows you how old I am, don't it?)

One Man, what is wrong with going the self-publishing route? Yes, it does require a bit of self-funding on your part, but its not as expensive as you might think.

The biggest thing is your willingness to self-promote in terms of time and mental energy. In a state like Texas, I don't see that as being a real problem. You'll need to make sure to apply for an ISBN and UPC so that your books can get into bookstores. And with both your artistic experience and experience as a police officer, you would be a shoe-in for "Meet the author" type events at small and independently owned book shops and events.

As Booker T. Washington said, "cast down your bucket where you stand." And if traditional publishers don't like your bucket, tell them to fuck it (sorry, I was in the mood for Jesse Jackson rhyme).

Look, it worked for Tyler Perry. And I don't think Mr. Perry is a "fluke." You get recognition and respect when you give it to yourself first. Ten years ago, Hollywood didn't even know he existed. Now all them producer bitches are beating down his door.

Here, where I live, Community Action and Activist Groups have found that events like this happen as often as the average labor infractions in the workplace. What is surprising is that the statistics (numbers) of these events are not put forth (like corporate America)to the communities that are being POLICED. I mean, even the military has annual reports on "VIOLATIONS" and yet many communities do not have the same process for oversight and or accountability.

It is important that communities know the GOOD, BAD and UGLY of our Police. Disclosure is the real divider between PEOPLE and POLICE. It is the only way TRUST will be established and the stigma that taints Good Cops can be washed clean from the Bad Caops.

Officers often use their associations and badges to compromise that trust even when it come down to something as simple as getting discounts and or FREE stuff in communities. Even when you hear about how the NYPD having connections with Inmates trafficing Drugs in the Prisons (to make some extra cash) is a total VIOLATION of that trust which trickles all the way down to the first yet Rookies. One can not just say, these are BAD COPS, its the whole Policing Culture that allows for it (by association) and just Policing from the INSIDE isn't enough. There has to be FULL DISCLOSURE so that the People can have an input to get rid of the Bad Apples in the bunch.

I'm gonna agree with you on this one, Shazza, my brother.
